It's been about a month since Tough Mudder Sydney (September 2012) and you can check out their website here. Tough Mudder is a 20km run with 28 obstacles involving plenty of gooey mud. Our team, The Arnolds (Krystal, Gerard and myself), finished in about 4 hours and the worst part would have to be electric eel. 10000 volts of arm jerking, humming electrical taser goodness.
Our hydration strategy of about 9L in 48hrs got us through the race without a single cry of thirst or a need to drink at the water stations. We came out feeling pretty tired but comfortable. So...
We decided to train for the full marathon next year in the Blackmores Sydney. The full 42.2km....

In summary, my plan is to spend the first three months with resistance work in the gym; the second three months working on speed, pace and endurance; and the last three months working on distance. Wish me luck...
